Greetings!
We are all checked in to the hospital, and are going through the process of getting Lucy ready for surgery. Currently she has an NG tube in (through the nose to the stomach), and they are administering "Golytely" (which I am positive I am spelling wrong) through this tube. This is to clean out her digestive tract from the top down. This is not fun, as you can imagine, and Lucy is not a happy camper. We are fortunate, however, that she is not hooked up to anything else, and barring any complications (like dehydration) the IVs, etc. will be put in prior to surgery while she is asleep.
Dr. Levitt popped in earlier to review the details, and we have had a wonderful 1st-day nurse - a man, which as you know is a blessing when you are Lucy!
Our surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. We'll take all the prayers you can shoot our way!
We are in room 442 at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and our room phone number is (513) 803-1442, if you need to get in touch with us.

Melissa,
I didn't realize you all were in Cinci until I saw your email from scouts! I just read your blog and I am so happy to hear things are going as well as can be expected. Lots of prayers for a smooth recovery and minimal pain! If there is anything I can do to help from here with the boys and school just let me know! Terri King
