Greetings!

We are up with the birds and waiting for transport to take Lucy to the IR for her "belly drain". No matter what the results of the fluid testing are, Lucy will surely feel 100% better after getting all of that fluid off of her belly.

Last night was rough. The IV team could not find a vein in her little arms and hands to save their lives. Too much scarring from so many previous surgeries and hospitalizations. Finally, at 10:45 PM, they found a winner and got the IV in without too much drama. She has now been on Cipro (sp?) for her UTI for 8 hours, so she should be feeling a bit of relief from that. She still has a fever of 101.8, and we are crossing our fingers that we willl still be able to go through with the procedure this morning.
