YES YES YES!
This morning, at around 8:00, we sent the e-mail that said we would like to officially be considered the parents of Lucia! What a nervewracking process this has been. I got up at 4:30 this morning to read the latest of the many opinions we have received on Lucia's condition, talked to Ed at the crack of dawn about it, and sent that e-mail.
What a relief to have made the decision. We go sign all of the necessary paperwork today. Hopefully, we will find out more information on travel, etc. when we are there. Our SW has offered to put us in touch with a family that has adopted a special needs child from China recently. This should prove to be a wonderful resource, and hopefully will assuage some fears.
We can't wait wrap our arms around this little girl!

If you have forgotten about getting your house ready for a baby, just visit ours and witness: no pictures on the walls, chairs turned upside down to prevent them from climbing, locked doors, lots of towels, mops, crumbs, diapers and more diapers, hand prints everywhere reminding you that your little one is curious and much loved.
We are excited about your newest addition.
