Greetings!
Lucy and I are just home from the scheduled biopsy and scope of Lucy's colon. The procedure went well, in fact they discharged us early (we were originally supposed to stay the night for observation). From the scope, they were able to discern the type of surgery that was done in China (the Duhamel procedure), and that the upper bowel, though distended, appears to be healthy, though they biopsied it just to be sure. The biopsy of the lower colon will tell us whether or not she has the needed ganglion cells. We will not know the result of that for about a week. SO, through this "fact-finding mission" we now have a number of avenues to explore to find out why our little one is having such a hard time. Thank you for all of your prayers and words of encouragement.
