Greetings!
Lucy is suffering from stomach/intestinal bug at the moment, which began yesterday in full force in the car on the way to our follow-up visit with the surgeon. Thank goodness it is cold out, and our car had in it a haphazard array of scarves, which I wrapped Lucy in after I peeled off all of her vomity clothes and jacket. I cannot imagine what the ladies in the reception area were thinking when we walked in. One nice lady gave me a wet rag and a barf bag, so I might mop up the constant flow of fluids my daughter was producing. Everyone else just stared at the frazzled lady, sweating in a red sweater, holding onto the vomiting kid in scarves. I guess i can't blame them..it's too late for an impromtu nativity performance.
Our wonderful doctor kept a good distance, but he did proclaim that this was, indeed, a stomach bug, and nothing related to our recent adventures at the hospital. No one else in our family has yet to succumb to this malady, but Lucy is not the only casualty, as it is 4:20 Saturday afternoon, and I am sitting here at the computer still in my pjs, awaiting the next super-colossal diaper (please note the addition of "intestinal" to the above description) and the laundry that is sure to accompany it.

I can soooooooooo relate right now! Lee had the stomach virus last Saturday and Jessalyn got it on Thursday. Luckily it didn't last longer than 12 hours for either of them. And now Lee has strept throat...it's such a struggle to keep children well! I hope Lucy feels better soon (and you do, too....it's just as hard on the mama's!).
