At Nolan's school, the third graders have a sock hop to celebrate the 50th day of school (1950's, get it?!). Up until this big event, the kids work on their dance moves in P.E., learning the Bunny Hop, the Limbo, the Bop, etc. Then the families are invited to the gym and the kids show us their dancing. It was a RIOT and so cute! Afterwards, everyone goes back to their kids's classroom, and has a coke float.
Nolan was very apprehensive (mortified would be more accurate) because he had to dance with a GIRL. But he did NOT mind dancing with his little sister, who was more-than-willing to cut a rug with her big bro. In fact, Lucy's dance card was quite full.
