Greetings!

I really have to do better about updating this blog - at least with pictures. Speaking of which, I am not sure what all of the frowning is about (see last 2 pics). Seems like when we get the camera out, Lucy's reaction is to scowl at the camera. It is rather amusing, but we really don't see a lot of scowling on a day to day basis. Oh well.

Lucy is doing just grand. She and I went over to Grandpa's and Grandma's house this afternoon to kill a little time before we went to pick up Lou, and we had the most amusing time rolling the ball back and forth between us. I can't tell you when I have seen Lucy so animated for so long!

Above is a picture of Lucy, Louis, and Penny. Penny is the reason that Lucy can stand to be around dogs. Penny walks by just about every night, and Lucy races out the door to take her on a little walk.

OK. I know I said earlier that Lucy does not scowl often, but that's not entirely true. We get a scowl every night at dinner. Lucy is fast rivaling Lou as our resident minister. The second we sit her down in her booster seat, those hands of hers are clasped together, and there she sits, patiently waiting for Louis to say the prayer. We are evidently never fast enough for her, and therefore she assumes the above facial expression, until we can get our act together and say that prayer. And heaven forbid if we FORGET to say a prayer. Then we are all silently reprimanded by pastor Lucy with... the SCOWL, and repeated subsequent prayers throughout dinner (preceeded by the scowl of course).
