Update #1

Here we sit...and wait...

I suppose I have some catching up to do, since it has been over a year since I started this BLOG.

Our LID (Log In Date) is June 12, 2006. Currently the wait time for a referral is 18 months - AT LEAST. Apparently there were so many applications submitted in the fall of 2005, that the system has slowed almost to a screeching halt. When we began this journey, we expected to receive a referral around January of 2006. Now we are looking at November 2007 at the earliest. Despite the set-backs, we know that we will travel to get our little girl when the time is right!

Ed and I have, however, had much to keep us busy during this time. We have had new flooring put in our upstairs rooms, re-done both upstairs bathrooms, and painted. The baby's room is almost ready. We even tried to learn a little Mandarin on the car ride to Disney this past Fall. The boys are able to pick it up really quick - it's not so easy for Ed and I!
