Welcome to our BLOG!

It is February, and our home visit will hopefully be scheduled this week! What am I talking about, you ask?

Ed and I made the decision, sometime during the summer of 2005, that if we wanted another child, we needed to do something about it pretty soon. We decided that we were going to do this by adopting a child - I am not getting any younger, a third c-section was not the least bit appealing, and I would love to give to a child the gift that was given to me.

In August, we went to an informational meeting regarding international adoptions. We left there, heads swimming with TONS of information on requirements, fees, countries with waiting children, wait times, etc. etc. etc.

Then we sat on it for a month or so. This takes a while to digest.

Through much thought and many prayers, we decided that we would like to adopt a little girl from China.

Since then, we have filled out a mountain of paperwork, attended interviews with our social worker, and tried to control our excitement!

In the coming days and weeks, I will try to bring things up-to-date. It is my hope that this BLOG will not only be a link to our friends and family to let them know where we are in the process (especially when we go to CHINA!), but also serve as a record for our daughter, so she can see the process that brought her to us!
