Greetings!
I wanted to let everyone know that we are heading to Cincinnati on Thursday of this week for Lucy's surgical follow-up appointment - all 5 of us! While we do not relish the drive, it will be nice to see the doctors and nurses again, and get some answers for a few relatively minor questions.
Lucy's recovery has been slow but steady. She came home from Cincinnati in pain, unable to walk very far, bent over, and VERY quiet. Since then she has grown stronger and more social by the day. Yesterday we were at KinderMusik with Mrs. Peggy and she (Lucy) was all over the place! She still has anywhere from 6 to 12 diapers a day, but the diaper rash is begining to ease up in severity (unless you have dealt with a pull-through, you cannot imagine how bad this gets). Lucy is even getting the hang of potty training! Hello Kitty and Strawberry Shortcake undies are most definitely motivating factors in this endeavor!
