Well, the "procedure" was as traumatic as it could possibly be today. Though a barium enema is painless, apparently, Lucy has a mind like a steel trap, and unfortunately revisited a bit of her past today. I will spare you the details. What I will tell you is that the images showed that her colon is far from normal. The team of doctors that has been working with us is taking the images to another radiologist to get another opinion, that will help determine the next step - probably a biopsy to determine the presence or lack of ganglion cells in the lower part of her colon. What can we expect after that? We'll know more after they put their heads together.
