Greetings!
We hope everyone has recovered from the sugar high and excitement of Halloween. We love Halloween around here, and I must say, that we are rarely disappointed with the festivities and traditions. The boys, of course, and full-on into the trick-or-treating, and their mission is to get to as many houses as possible as fast as they can. Lucy is a different story - granted, this is her very first Halloween (I am assuming) and its a bit much to take in.
Lucy was more about daintily carrying around her treat "handbag", than she was about amassing as much candy as possible. We only made it to about 4 houses in all due to the following lengthy routine:
- Get out of wagon.
- Adjust jacket and tail (she was a cat).
- Retrieve treat "handbag" from storage compartment in wagon.
- Adjust ears.
- Walk to front door of house, stopping to look at all decorations along the way.
- Knock on door and say "wih uh whee!" when door is answered.
- Pretend to assess candy options while silently forming escape plan. Choose a morsel.
- Zip past neighbor into said house and sit down to enjoy candy treat.
The next morning, at the crack of dawn, Lucy and Nolan came tearing down the stairs, treat bags in hand (she had recruited Nolan as her willing accomplice), chocolate on faces. They proceeded to boogie around the den to some bluegrass for the next hour. You can see by the frenzied faces in the pictures, that this is a sugar situation of the highest degree. It was still cute though, and
Lucy is developing some rockin' dance moves.
